Student iServices for Campus Partners
(Note: If you are a student, visit our iServices for Students page instead.)
International students use our online request system iServices to submit document and service requests to ISEO. Some of these requests are routed to our campus partners for review. Various requests require prior approval from the student’s department or college to ensure validity of academic requirements prior to ensuring eligibility for immigration benefits.
iServices accommodates this need by routing certain requests to colleges and departments for electronic review and approval.
UC San Diego partners can contact ISEO advisors directly by emailing iservices-support@ucsd.edu for any and all questions about iServices request processing.
iServices Access and Navigation
Watch the video below for a quick, helpful introduction to the iServices system.
|
Reviewing Requested Routed to Colleges or Departments
Student requests submitted through iServices will generate an email to the College or Department's designated routing email address.
The email's subject line will contain the student's PID and the name of the request. In the body of the email, there will be a link to directly access the student's request.
After clicking the link, unique log-in information will automatically be populated for approvers to access the request. In these routed requests, sand colored boxes will be used to highlight the information that the student has reported for approver review.
After reviewing the request, approvers may add comments that will be visible to the student in a notification email. After providing comments to the student, approvers may either Approve or Deny the request.
If denying the request, approvers may provide additional comments that will only be visible to ISEO. The student will not see the comments for a denial. So, approvers should utilize the student comments box for any feedback they wish to relay to the student.
Staff Access to the iServics System
Access to the iServices system does not need to granted to current or future staff members within your office. All staff members with access to your College or Department's designated routing email address will be able to click the link contained within the email.
iServices Technical Support
Services Technical Support: Please email iservices-support@ucsd.edu with any technical issues. Include a description of the issue, student PID and name (if applicable) of the request you are attempting to review, and a screen shot.
Preferred Browser: Do not use Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge. For best iPortal functionality, Google Chrome is most compatible.
What should approvers do if they need to change a decision on an application after it’s already been reviewed?
Once Approvers have made processed a request (approved or denied), the decision cannot be changed. Please email iservices-support@ucsd.edu if you need to change a decision on a processed request.
What should Colleges or Departments do if they need to change their designated routing email address?
Student request submitted through iServices will generate an email with a link to access the student's responses. This email will be sent to your designated routing email address.
Please email iservices-support@ucsd.edu if you need to change your routing email address.
