Withdrawal from UC San Diego
Students withdrawing from UC San Diego must report their withdrawal to ISEO to terminate their F-1 or J-1 visa status.
Leaving the U.S. due to Suspension or Academic Disqualification
First, learn about how suspension or academic disqualification will affect your status. If you are departing the US due to a suspension or academic disqualification from UC San Diego, then you must report to ISEO in iServices.
Submit a Ending Visa Status Request in iServices:
- Find the Ending your Visa Status at UC San Diego category in the left menu.
- Select the Ending Visa Status Request.
- Prepare a PDF copy of your airline ticket or flight itinerary showing the date of your planned departure from the U.S.
- Submit the required eForm. If you are in the U.S., you must depart no later than 15 days after the start date of suspension/disqualification, last date of enrollment or appeal denial, whichever date is latest.
- ISEO has an average processing time of 10 business days. You will be notified via email when your request is complete.
Withdrawing from UC San Diego
If you plan to withdraw from your UC San Diego program of study with no intention to complete your degree requirements, review the university withdrawal information to determine if you need to submit a university withdrawal form to the Registrar's Office (undergraduate students) or with your graduate program (graduate students).

- Select the Ending Visa Status Request.
- Prepare a PDF copy of your airline ticket or flight itinerary showing the date of your planned departure from the U.S.
