Register with ISEO
As of 3/18/2024, all international faculty and scholars must register with ISEO through the new iServices portal. If your initial J-1/H-1B/E-3/TN status was not processed using this system, please check your email for communication from ISEO regarding log in details or reach out to ischolars@ucsd.edu for support.

All of our services are online! You do not need to come to ISEO's office to register - registration and orientation are both conveniently available online, and you will complete your registration with ISEO through iServices.

- You can find this 8 digit ID number by logging into UCPath (click on the row for UC San Diego); once in your record your ID number will be displayed in the top right hand corner.

- Visa: Look for text toward the bottom of your visa that indicates subject or not subject

- For more information on 212e, the waiver process, and the Advisory Opinion, please see our Frequently Asked Questions and 212e-related instructions
Dependents
- If you have dependents that arrived with you, we will need their DS-2019, visa, and I-94 as well.

ISEO Review
We strive to process all registrations within 5 business days of submission, however due to a high number of registrations we are currently prioritizing registrations based on program start date.
- This new system of submission requires that the request be fully complete by the scholar before reaching the ISEO team for processing.
- If additional information or documentation is required, ISEO will reach out to you via email.
- Once the registration is marked as Approved, a confirmation email will be sent to you with details on additional next steps, like applying for a SSN.
